depends on whether you go to a slop teacher or a real one, real one 6month-1 year you can get decent

with those? tbh I have no idea, you could try reaching out to people on tiktok etc to see if there is a website with actual masters on it like there is with wing chun.

You could alternatively try learning something like sambo or judo, at least in europe there seems to be less McDojo's for them

Judo seems like a chubby sport lowk, a whole martial art based on takedowns? , but either way, im in NA rn, only BJJ gyms are super prevalent here:feelsgood::ogre:

Judo is very effective I used to train it and did some competitions as a teen

looks giga competitive, but from a BJJ perspective, it seems like there are a bunch of free submissions... :ogre::soy:

if you wanna quick then boxing is the way to go, practice a lot at home with the internet and film yourself then for strategy you gotta fight and watch fights

the most important is training at home, even if you have a gym you will learn nothing there that place is to apply what you learnt at home

it shouldn't take that long tbh

First reddit post, I'm not unbiased though since I think BJJ is disabled

I've actually sparred boxing a lot, some taller guy who would always jab me , but the thing is, it seems so open in a real fight, imagine what you would do if you got taken down by a wrestler....

learn the basic moves but boxing is by far the most usefull, most fights are won just with fists

great, but I guess im trying to focus more on disabling someone AFTER theyre already on the ground, judo is more legitimate then I thought though...:feelsgood::ogre::feelsgood:
It's hard to learn but hey you might be good at it

First time I saw a cl was actually training judo, dude was like 14 and I was 8 but we got paired up because I was bigger than the other 8 year olds

im too old to get in to judo though, I'd still rather train BJJ lol:feelsgood::ogre:

yeah, I think thats true actually, 1 on 1 fights rarely go to the ground:feelsgood::ogre:
and if you are in a brawl and fall to the ground it's over anyway

concrete skull bashing theory...
but if youre still conscious, BJJ would help you super well, and you could probably submit some guy who doesn't train their legs and elbows , which is hopefuel:soy::ogre::ogre:

T

Took me like 3 years. Karate
kyokushin? all other forms of karate seem like McDojo cope imo, how are you supposed to get better at fighting by practicing your "crane stance" JFL:ogre::soy::soy:

if you want to get good at boxing nothing stops yo from training 7h a day but to impove ground fighting you have to be at a club so it takes longer and boxing and strong character will win you 99% of fights anyway

having heart is deadass why some guys win UFC titles, and yeah, you can hit a speedball for 7 hours a day, its great cardio too, I have one in my room that ive just been practicing my combos and my jabs on, but it seems like you wouldn't be able to train your pain resistance though...:feelswah::soy::ogre:

I just use neuralink and upload all of bruce lee's moves into my head.

JFL, how good is it, compared to other striking martial art's??? there was a known ufc fighter who trained, and he was SUPER fast , lighter, though :feelsgood::feelsgood::soy::ogre:
I would say b tier you prob wont win againts mma or sum its more like art but i fw karate heavy love the movement n shit :feelsyay:

it probably makes you feel at peace with yourself or something :feelsgood::feelsgood::soy::ogre:

I think Jon Jones got into the ufc with less than a year of training

he's also widely considered the GOAT though, if I even had a little bit of talent I would try super hard to get in to the UFC brah :soy::feelsgood::ogre::ogre:
Just train really hard and consistently, if u can't go to a gym then train at home that's what I did before I joined one

what can I do to train at home? speedball is already one of the methods I use:feelsgood::ogre:
Shadowboxing is great but u should learn the proper techniques first by watching yt tutorials but every so often just start shadowboxing like an autist for muscle memory I learned pretty well in a month or 2 from that

shadowboxing is so fun, lowk, and it seems like something you'd actually be better in, when youre an autist lol, , ive been shadowboxing and using my 1-2-3 often, its super quick :feelsgood::feelsgood::ogre:
