Title. I would likely be going in for almond eye surgery+infraorbital implants. How long would the swelling last? Would it take weeks?

Cool bro, If done right, Bimax + Taban can increase 2.5psl
which will double your PSL
which means ascension

Don't give bad advice, these are serious surgeries. He needs to move the jaws first as movement of the maxilla effects the eye area. He runs the risk of messing up Tabans work.
