How long to learn this?

I want to learn the 3d software and vfx blender, Houdini or nuke to be able to make good vfx, how long does this shit gonna take me to learn I don’t believe those slow ass 40 y old „it takes years to learn“! Bc learning premiere pro/after effects wasn’t that deep too after looking into it

9-12 months for good results if consistent if you want to work at some big studio you can add some years to it

At this level for example, but I wanna mainly focus on simulations/animations and I would animate in cascadaeur bc I only need humans and the animations are 10x faster then usual and mostly assets for environments. Only Houdini is the thing I need I rlly need to master and learn the simulations and vfx. How long you think it will take now ?

8-9 months if you do 2-3 hours a day maybe less depends on how you learn and your brain power tbh
