It was a meme but it became mainstream when an account known for edits made an edit back in June 2023
it was with lumi Athena’s some Icewhore but it was changed a little bit, and it showed Chico, Barrett, and opry
before that “lookmaxxing” was a dead word
if anything was posted about “lookmaxxing” it was random .org autists
yeah kshami and Dillon made it more mainstream but they never talked about “looksmaxing” until it started going mainstream their content was just “glow up” culture nd shit
James sapphire made it a joke, but people still didn’t care about looksmaxing it was just blackpill content
words like mog nd shit were not said until June 2023 when it all became mainstream
and I think I remember with shami it started because of patrick bateman, he was doing content inspired by him, cosplays and shit
so yeah I THINK it went mainstream in 2023 but I knew about it since like late 2021
