How many antidepressants should I try before giving up?

So far for my depression and anxiety I have tried Fluoxetine (prozac), Fluvoxamine, Paroxetine (paxil), Lexapro and Olanzapine.

I gained a lot of fat and it hasn't cured my depression. Should I try others like sertraline?

If prozac dont work then sertraline wont work either cause they are both SSRI. No point in trying other SSRIs

Try a TCA like Amitriptyline, you might have better chances with that , also good if you have insomnia

I'd say rather than trying TCA, try mao inhibitors (although it requires some dietary changes). TCAs are powerful but very dirty, tons of side effects because they act on unwanted receptors. MAOIs tend to be good and can improve mood nicely. A lot of people who were resistant to ssri regret they haven't tried them earlier.
