How much capital do you have to invest in order to make 10k/100k or more. 20k into options or more? How many contracts is typical for big wins 10-15+?

if you hold 10 at the money spy options (about $3000-$5000 assuming 1-3 days to expiry) and it moves a dollar that’s about $500 up/down

If you hold 100 at the money spy options (about $30k-$50k) and it moves a dollar that’s about $5000


Problem is if price stalls you get theta decayed and you may need a $2 move to get the same result.
