for the biggest growth you need intense workouts, carbs are needed.
3 high protein meals and a shake post workout.
i do very low carb diet tbh, but very high fat and protein. i feel better then with carbs on this and i can train well.

so pre work out meal post workout meal and another?

i work out better in full stomach

Around 4. However, of course what matters is nutritional value, not the amount of meals.
