At least every 6 months there was an event which caused some sort of physical altercation among my parents, throughout my parents’ 20 year marriage my mom got 4 concussions and a broken rib.

Physical fights maybe once every 6-12 months. But shouting, hysteria, slamming doors, smashing plates, breaking windows, divorce/abandonment/police threats, were a weekly occurance.

Parents have never slept in the same bed or ever had sex as far as I know. Never seen even a simple hug or kiss between them.

Also got the 'this is completely normal for parents to fight in healthy relationships and have arguments' bullshit.
