How many of you have been given the LDAR treatment/pep talk?

I'm much older than most here but seeing as how most of you have the blackpilled mindset and such pessimistic attitude I'm willing to bet most of you are scolded constantly by friends and family for refusing to work and be altruistic to your community

I know I was and was scolded by my father constantly for it. He's dead now so it doesn't really matter but I remember a time he would berate me for my negative attitude. I never listened, I never worked, didn't get married or have kids and now spend my days in a perpetual state of contentment- relying on the hedonic treadmill to get me through.

Before long I found weeks turning into months, months into years- and before long those years would become decades....but I'm a free man through it all and not once did I buckle under pressure to conform to anything that I had no desire to partake in

who here has undergone a similar experience? I feel it takes some self awareness and backbone to be the architect of your own life and living under your own terms for better or for worse

It’s interesting how your own terms for living are just not doing any of the things that would require self improvement

Self improvement is subjective, would I really live a more fruitful and pleasurable life by doing something I took no glee in doing? Working a 9 to 5 until my arms fall off? I could never do that, say what you will but I will always be a free man and have full autonomy over myself

What about not marrying, having kids etc? How do you spend your time? From your post it seems like you’re dissatisfied with how things are going now, are you looking for another way or something?

I'm not dissatisfied at all, infact I'm perfectly content. I do not compare myself to others, I feel no jealousy for those of a similar age to me who have a family of their own, infact I wish them well. But the straight and narrow life was never for me and it never will be
