Had bad acne, diet made no difference.

Sun exposure helped. (Different country)
Tretinoin, benzoyl peroxide, azelaic acid helped.
Stopped using cleanser as it was drying out skin and switched to just water.
Only use cleanser if I put sunscreen now


I still have scars but will see how it goes.

Would have hopped on accutane but liver probably couldn't handle it with the other stuff I'm taking

I used to get acne from shaving, my skin is pretty sensitive and acne prone. Here’s some tips

Make sure your razor is sharp. Get an old school metal safety razor that takes standard razor blades. If it feels dull, put in a new one. Shave with the grain, again having a sharp razor makes this easier

Shave after showering. The steam opens your pores and makes it easier. when you’re done shaving, wash face with cold water. Use a sensitive skin aftershave. Moisturize your face

Honestly you’re right. I’ve been using tretinoin for a year now, it improves your skin texture but doesn’t address the root cause of the acne. Anytime I’m stressed out, try a new skincare product, etc I get more acne that the tretinoin doesn’t stop. And it continues scarring my face.

Tretinoin is good for after accutane, or when you’re an adult and not dealing with acne frequently.

No, I only did a single round of subcision with not even filler afterward. I just took vitamin C and collagen, when my face healed and the swelling went down the scars were way less shallow.
