even if u have $1000 per month you'll be pinching pennies, let alone $500

Not much at all. The problem will arise when you need to make money. Unless you're a digital nomad you're not gonna be able to bring in much money living there. How much do ineed to live in the PH?

Average rent is $200, which includes electricity. Food is cheap af there. You probably lived in an overpriced gated community for coddled tourists.i lived there for 1 year. go and find out retard. most people there live with their parents and everyone complains how expensive everything is compared to avg wage
Wtf most people there live with way less than 2000$4000 per month if u wanna live in luxury.
$2000 per month for normal life
There's always two camps of expats/tourists. I'm liberal with party favors and spending money on experiences, but I like to get the cheapest private accomodation I can whenever I travel. Fellow expats/tourists tourists often scoff at me. They spend $800-$1,200 on a high rise apartment in the most expensive district while I rent the entire top floor of a hotel in the ghetto for $100 a month. I don't need a TV, hot water, or air-con. Just give me a ceiling fan, a red light to keep the mosquitos off me while I sleep, and wIfi and I'm good to go. I've never had anything broken into or stolen.Average rent is $200, which includes electricity. Food is cheap af there. You probably lived in an overpriced gated community for coddled tourists.
keep copingThere's no way that you need 2000 a month to live a "normal life" in the Philippines.
"The average salary in Philippines as of 2020 is PHP 15,200 or USD 308 for the non-agricultural sector. "
I don't think you have ever lived in the Philippines.keep coping

Do they require Covid vaccine for entering? Why don't you come to Argentina instead, it's cheap and Buenos Aires (the non poor part) is nice. Then you can travel to the Patagonia and know beautiful places for little money
