How much does facial harmony actually cap your PSL potential?

I’ve been thinking about this for a while and I wanna hear some actual takes from people who know their shit, not just “eye area = everything” NPC takes.

How much does facial harmony actually determine your ceiling in PSL?

For example, imagine two guys:

Guy A
  • insane eye area / canthal tilt
  • good brow ridge
  • strong jaw
  • decent cheekbones
  • good ramus
  • but slightly recessed maxilla + mediocre lower third
  • features are individually high-tier but don’t really “flow” together
Guy B
  • nothing is particularly insane
  • average-high eye area
  • average jaw
  • decent cheekbones
  • normal forehead
  • but basically zero major disproportions
  • features blend together extremely well
  • good facial thirds + compact midface

Who actually mogs IRL?

This is where I think PSL gets kinda autistic because people sometimes rate individual features as if they’re independent stats in a video game.

A guy can have hunter eyes + good brow ridge + strong jaw and still look mid if his midface, nose, lips and lower third completely fuck up the overall harmony.

On the other hand, someone can have relatively “normie” individual features but look objectively attractive because everything is proportionate.

So I’m wondering:

Is there an actual “harmony ceiling”?

Like, can someone with elite individual features but mediocre harmony realistically reach the same tier as someone with genuinely elite harmony?

Or does dimorphism + eye area + bone structure simply overpower harmony once you reach a certain level?

Also, where do things like:
  • facial thirds
  • FWHR
  • midface ratio
  • IPD
  • bizygomatic width
  • gonial angle
  • ramus length
  • chin projection
  • nose/lip relationship
  • vermilion
  • canthal tilt
  • eyebrow position
actually fit into the equation?

Because IMO people massively underrate feature interaction.

For example, a nose isn’t necessarily “bad” by itself. It can become bad because it interacts badly with the midface, lips and chin. Same thing with a long midface — if the lower third and nose compensate for it, the person might still look harmonious.

And this is also why I don’t completely trust FaceIQ-type scores.

A face can get something like 7.5–8/10 from a rating model while still looking noticeably better or worse IRL depending on:
  • hair
  • bodyfat
  • skin quality
  • facial expression
  • lighting
  • eye area visibility
  • head posture
  • hairstyle
  • facial bloating
  • overall frame

So what’s the actual hierarchy?

Bone structure > eye area > harmony > dimorphism > skin/hair > everything else?

Or is that completely wrong?

Would appreciate actual PSL autists breaking this down instead of just replying “HTN bro” or “get lean”.
