I think it’s 10.5k with taban but if you have lid retraction it’s very likely you have recessed orbitals so ur gonna need an orbital rim implant

Actually they are 2 separate procedures and it is an optional component of so-called “almond eye surgery”

Cathoplasty *could* refer to any procedure CHANGING the Canthus (medial or lateral, but almost always referring to lateral)

I once asked an oculi plastic surgeon which nomenclature is technically correct - Canthoplasty or canthopexy? To which he responded “who knows”

blepharoplasty is a procedure changing the eyelids (but almost always removing redundant skin or tightening them.)

Some people say the difference between a lateral Canthoplasty and a lateral canthopexy is whether the lateral canthal tendon is CUT or PLICATED. (Plication is basically just folding it over itself)

To me.... the difference is

Canthoplasty = Reconstructive (Meaning Effectively constructing a NEW corner of the eye to replace a defect, and a totally different procedure that results in loss of PFL)

Canthopexy = Aesthetic Repositioning

On one hand names aren’t too important, because we should know what’s what. But on the other, many plastic surgeons really don’t. When asked “what kind of canthoplasty are you doing?” They can’t really answer. Canthoplasty is a prime example of problematic nomenclature in plastic surgery.

In Germany it's around 3k. If you do lower blepharoplasty + canthoplasty then it'd be slightly above 4k.
