I have limited body hair and I like it that way. Honestly I wish I had even less. I dont mind legs being hairy, but chest and arms and back should be hair-free ideally. I also shave my beard every day before going out, so I don't even like facial hair.

I simply don't have the frame or height to pull off being hairy on my body.

But with topical min not responding too well, I've started oral min a couple of days ago. Saving the hairline is more important than minimizing body hair at the end of the day.

But i'm wondering if this is going to cause an excessive growth in body hair, what are your experiences? If it does, should i stop oral min? Or get laser surgery? How long does it even take to see if you're going to get much more body hair, like two weeks?

I'm probably getting scared about absolutely nothing but I'm worried that I'm creating one problem while trying to solve another.

Pls let me know your experiences. :hnghn:

One year into using it made me body hair prob 10% thicker in the areas it already grows (so no new hair on areas without hair like upper arms etc). Took a while to see the extra body hair tbh probs 6 months plus.

From what I understand stopping it reverses it yeah. Or just deal with it tbh because as a man at a certain age you're going to have to deal with it anyway since body hair gets thicker and starts to grow all over the place as men get older.

I already have some vellus hairs sort of on my chest so it's not completely hairless, so i'm worried all of that will give me a hairy chest. I heard that minoxidil establishes a blood supply to these hairs, and with no dht in your body to stop the hair growth, they kind of just stay full length. basically, not reversible.

Ideally i'd like a young 20s look while i'm in my 20s haha. After 30+ i dont really care if i look like a chimp. timing is kind of everything.

Not trying to disagree with your post or experience, but i've been continuing to read about the subject and i think i should try other measures to make topical min work first.

Did you not have success with topical min and thats why youre taking oral?

What oral minox does:

> grows grotesque body hair and facial hair

> bloats you to shit (anyone that says otherwise hasn’t hasn’t coming off it; they will absolutely see a difference within a week or 2, I also thought I didn’t bloat because I still maintained hollows, man I was wrong).

> makes you look aged as fuck.

There isn’t a good reason to even use it. Reversing loss can be done through Dut and RU alone given enough time. It that doesn’t save it, using minox also won’t.

Well damn i dropped $150 on hims oral min, and have to put that on pause lol. And dropped another $50 on RU.

I guess I'll continue fin, and daily tretinoin the hairline, then topical minoxidil, then RU. If that doesn't work for 6months, I'll hop back on oral min.

I'll just stop taking the oral min for now though i guess. 😢

No I took oral because my hair is medium length and my thinning is diffuse not at the hairline so it was a pain putting topical on and it made my hair look bad. If you have short hair topical is probs fine.

In terms of chest hair I had some hair and it increased by a small amount. If you have veilus hairs I doubt you get a full blown gorilla chest from low dose oral min. Maybe just a line of thin hair in the middle or something.

something i hate about this discussion of hair loss products, everyones experiences are just the opposite
From "its not that bad and oral min is really effective" to "youll become a gorilla with zero benefit to your scalp hair"
