Is downward growth only visibile from side? or does it affect the front a lot too?

also like extremely many prettyboys. a bad jaw is a big falio but everything can be outbalanced thb
Yeah that’s true, downward growth could be good sometimes if you have an overly compact face

downgrowth is ideal for most people because their ramus isn't long enough to accommodate a low gonial angle without ending up with sfs.

and they still tend to have issues with chin height because the lower your gonial angle is the less your chin height is affected by your mental protuberance, in downgrown people the protuberance also grows down which makes their chin look taller.

but evolutionarily speaking lower is better.

because the near acute angle of the human jaw allows for better force distribution compared to our relatives, the jaw is a hinge after all.

but keep in mind that for most of human history our skulls looked like this.

rather than the puny peanut skulls we have today.

Downward growth is what causes the appearance of a short ramus though.

sean opry and josh mcgregor…

would rather have it over SFS.

You do know that downwards growth happens only because the ramus didn't develop due to shit habits and stuff
