I don't mean the effects of braces on your face but braces themselves. I am going to get them off in 2 months and they benefited me because they fixed my overbite and I got them after a lot of my puberty development was done. Should I expect a noticeable improvement of my looks/reaction to my looks? I am 19 years old and I tend to look younger.

just go for invisalign

I already had braces, they are going to take them off in 2 months. I just want to know if taking them off will improve my appearance

It won't make a significant difference.

Braces are obviously a looksmin especially for men at that age.
I'm also 19 and will get my braces off in about 2-3 months.
Still so worth it. With almost any looksmax you'll do you'll look a bit worse before you look better.

at least the teeth will look better.
plus he did it at at late age, at the end of the jawline development.
So it can only be a lookmax, though a very slight

and yeah i've read it too fastly.
if you had palate expander it's even better

Don't you get a palate expander at the end after taking braces off? should I ask for it?

I got my palate expander at the beginning. After the palate expander I got my braces.

not sure, but ask for it. Most of the time they won't do it by their own when you have perfect occlusion, but for aesthetic purpose, having a wider palate thus a better forward grown is way better.

It’s palate expander first. It will cause your teeth to not grow outwards at the same rate. And then you put braces to correct and bring together the misaligned teeth

So I probably won't get one, I will try mewing after getting them off, maybe that will help a bit with forward growth. I became 19 last months and I grew over the last 12 months 2,5 cm in height. I hope I still grow a bit while I mew.

you should have a perfect occlusion then, try chewing a bit too

should you get braces even if your teeth are straight? does it fix protruding lips?

it's not about the teeth are straight or not, but about perfect occlusion or not.
Not sure about the lips, but most of the time protruding lips is due to non perfect occlusion, so it can obviously fix it + it will make them slightly more wider.

Maybe veneers are a better option unless your teeth are severely crooked. They look incredible

At 19? Looks min, younger around 13-14? Looksnuetral/max
