Hoping to get this myself. Also bone strengthening drugs and bone loss replacing chemicals. God willing I get a few more centimetres.

Damn that's bad
Tell me ur cobb angle(s) and i can give u a better answer
but generally, u gain 1-2 inches from such a surgery, if urs was worse (like 80 degrees) u'd possibly gain 3-4 inches of height

I dont really know the angles but i remember it was not so extreme but not very good either.

what are these drugs ?
Also as u can see in that film im wristcel too. anything to do for that?

let's say the curve is reduced by 90%, you'd gain ~3cms, which is good since you can become part of the 6 foot master race

if the surgery is not very expensive and risky i'll get it done 3cm doesn't seem much iwould hope for a solid 5 cm but its not just the height man. It's for aesthetics too. I look like shit when i remove my clothes like a true deformed subhuman .

Also can i gymcel if i get this surgery.?

very little difference, 1 cm at most

If ur going for spinal fusion surgery (where they fuse the whole spine with iron rods) I doubt u'll ever be able to gymcel or even do exercise for that matter. But as always consult with ur doctor. It's a last resort for ppl with really bad curves (over 50)

2 cm judging by the pics
They only recommend it if it's quality of life. Like you can't sit properly

Just measure straight from ass to neck. Then use tailors tape from ass to neck staying along spine. Subtract difference and thats the height you will gain

Teraparatide. Testosterone.

How much would this corrective surgery be? I got told about £15k or thereabouts.

Supposedly I've got a 20 degree curve but mine is noticeable. It's in the lumbar region.
Going to see my doctor for a bone density scan.

Curves below 40-50 degrees won't result in any noticeable height loss

I got told contradictory information. Stunted hands and feet are a give away.

How do you know that it hasn't resulted in height loss?

I didn't say it won't result in any height loss rather it won't affect your perceived height by much. Most people won't notice if you're 1 cm taller. There's a formula for extrapolating height loss due to scoliosis but frankly I can't find the study. In either case height loss was insignificant in curves under 50 degrees (1/2 to 2/3 of an inch at most)

Supposedly it isn't noticeable in 20 degrees. It is for me visually from the outside.

I'm sceptical of scientific studies to be honest.

Lack of bone density combined with scoliosis and probable fractures would result in lost height.

Produce the study please. Is that the only study they did? Who and what were the subjects to generalise as such.

Name of formula Formula Description of formula
Bjure y = 10 0.011x – 0.177 x is Cobb angle of the major curve
Kono y = (0.6 (x - 30) + 2.6)/10 x is combined Cobb of all curves
Ylikoski y = (0.0062 x + 0.0024 x2)/10 x is combined Cobb of all curves
Stokes y = (1 + 0.0066 x + 0.0084 x2)/10 x is mean Cobb of the largest two curves
Hwang y = 0.059 x + 0.012z – 0.919 x is the major thoracic Cobb, z is T5 to T12 kyphosis

Thanks for the graphs. The studies and sample and how they came to that conclusion would be good too.

This mentions kyphosis. Different from scoliosis with little bone density and possible fractures.

Really? The study is titled "The use of growth standards and corrective formulae to calculate the height loss caused by idiopathic scoliosis"
here's the link: https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC4900242/

That wasn't given in the original post. I'd have to review it a little bit more.

Idiopathic means happens of its own accord. Meaning bone density is normal. Fyi from what I can see initially.
Interesting how they go for the most low line graph rather than others. I'll review why they did it in the first place.
Very interesting. Read the last section. The last section is a confession by those NHS specialists. Case closed.

can i guess the height loss by calculating my legs lenght with other people. as an example if i have the same leg lenght for a 185cm human but im only 180cm then it means i have 5cm lost .
Would that be correct way

no dude your curve isn't that severe. Even if u managed to completely straighten ur spine u would gain around 2-3cms at most. With bigger curves u lose 5,6,7,8 cm, and with the really big fucking curves that look like an "S" you lose like 10 cms

fuck 2 3 cm is very little. idk if i should get a surgery. deadlifting faded my back pain away. Howrver it looks veru bad when i have no clotches on. I guess if its cheap in my country and its not a very risky surgeru ill get it done. Also ive heard that ppl can gymcel after surgery on r/scoliosis

I've heard the more severe it becomes the more physically disabling it becomes as it compresses other organs in your body.

Get it done for life maxing at the very least.

it wont become more severe in me because my bone development has done its course confirmed by orthopedist after comparing 2 different films with 6 months difference. So it wont become worse
2 inches.
u sure ? cz most say 3cm at most
