How much truth is there to the idea that women are more socially complicated?

This is a common theme in mainstream gender culture: Men are straightforward, and women are socially complex/advanced.

But how much truth is there to this? Is this just another bluepill myth? Are women that can't rely on their sex appeal actually more socially intelligent/advanced?

Men make the first move in dating, so women have to reject men if they don't like them. Rejections can be awkward, so women aren't that straightforward. That makes many men think women are complex and play games.

Outside of dating, women and men are both more similar than different. Take dating and simping out and women are as straightforward as men, and women are also as straightforward with other women as men are with other men. It's not even true that women are more bitchy than men, just look at the "beef" of Aba&Preach and Fresh&Fit jfl.
