For adult men, the recommended amount is ideally 125 ounces (~3.7 liters) a day.
Personally, on a typical school day, I'll drink over over 250 ounces (~7.4 liters) of water a day. This includes milk, but it doesn't factor fruits, which would add my daily water intake further. On non-school days, that number is probably higher.
