Definitely try and get it man. It's unlikely to help you socially if you already have no friends or gf, but the freedom to go to farther places on your own and the fun of driving itself is worth it. I remember before I had a license I'd ride my bike a lot all over just to get out and do something, but once I got a vehicle and started driving cycling got boring in comparison.

Driving in city areas especially in rush hour isn't pleasant and you only do that if you have somewhere to go, but driving on country roads with low traffic or on low traffic highways at night where you can really pick up some speed is very enjoyable to do. I regularly cruise the highways at 75 miles an hour at night and hit close to 100 in the longer straights when there's no other cars around and the weather conditions are ideal obviously. Also regularly drive to some places 50 miles away and could easily go further if I choose to

I could give you a few tips on how to pass the driving test as easily as possible if you want (assuming you're from america like me).
