imo it's low sentience. they have an npc routinized way of thinking where they think they must buy shoes that look good so the put in a big time and money investment. meanwhile i'm getting piles of shoes, some of them don't even fit well from some donation center. shoes are just tools to me, same as clothes. i don't give a shit what they look like as long as they do the job they're designd for.

do you replace the soles or something? i have never had a pair of shoes or boots last me more than a couple years. i do thrift them but they're always relatively new
