There's literally 5D chess being played on so many levels in the real world but niggas here are still arguing about the most pointless shit
I'm gonna sound like mindless drone retard but what the fuck are we supposed to do actually?

Also the way you're describing it they might be close to creating sentient conscious robots in their office mayne

With all that money coming in, they gotta come up with something remarkable right? Something massive.

What's the end goal?

Did read tbh. Pretty brutal lol. So if I understand correctly we have two bad futures.

Ai takeover or market crash

The truth is even the people building this stuff don't fully know where it ends. Even Altman himself doesn't know where they are heading. The end goal is to build AGI. It is to build systems that can think, reason, and create at scale, replacing repetitive or cognitive labor.

I recently made a thread about this

But still some retrads like @looksmaxxed @romanstock can't stop coping with their WN drivel and fail to understand the broader picture.

The entire US stock market is dependent on one single company now that most people can't even invest in. OpenAI recently became one of the biggest startups in history and nearly every single company in S&P 500 is dependent on it. Don't believe it? I'll explain

Microsoft is OpenAI's biggest investor and provides all cloud infrastructure through Azure data centers

View attachment 4227055

AMD and Nvidia are in competition to supply AI chips worth billions

View attachment 4227058

Oracle is also building an absolutely massive supercomputer cluster called stargate exclusively for OpenAI

View attachment 4227067View attachment 4227129

Even OpenAI's biggest competitors like Google, Microsoft and Meta are working with them.

View attachment 4227073

Broadcom is designing custom AI chips for next generation working with them closely to scale the system to another level

View attachment 4227077

Even smaller companies like core weave are providing GPU infrastructure and numerous more companies indirectly tied to it.

This year alone OpenAI signed $1 Trillion worth of deals in dependencies.

View attachment 4227082

And here's the scary part of OpenAI fails to become profitable before it becomes public. It's sinking thr entire US tech sector along with it.

OpenAI is right now burning through billions of dollars of computing resources to power it's engine and investors are literally betting trillions of dollars on its success if the AI bubble bursts before OpenAI generates profit the tech sector in the US is finished. GG. That's how powerful this company is. There's literally 5D chess being played on so many levels in the real world but niggas here are still arguing about the most pointless shit.
U should start a podcast I'd listen to that's shit cuz this was a nice read :feelsgah:

For me this is water since my brother is a comp Sci major living in san francisco :hnghn: However this is still a very high quality thread, Mirin :Comfy:

how will openai take the whole tech sector down if it fails?
Nigger litteraly EVERYONE is investing into AI, and all depend on open ai for it. Investors only care about AI and openai are the niggas who run it all.

Markets Confidence= Hate uncertainty. If investors suddenly believe Al returns won't justify gargantuan valuations. What happens is risk premia spike.

Leveraged funds and tech ETFs could get hammered, creating forced selling across the sector not just Al names so it's not just these companies directly involved that get affected. It's an entire interwoven inter dependent web of tech giants and smaller companies that gets affected so it most probably affects your company too

your company might not need Al but it still lives inside an ecosystem. No company conducts buisness completely on its own. Even Apple a company that hates third party and tries to control every layer of its stack still relies on the same global supply chain, chip manufacturers and investor sentiment
that's dependent on AI. Your company's vendors, infrastructure providers, or investors all are all increasingly dependent on AI.

I would say we're far more reliant on cloud infrastructure than AI

Personal life

Altman has been a vegetarian since childhood.[119]

Altman is gay, and first disclosed his sexuality at the age of 17 in high school, where he spoke out after some students objected to a National Coming Out Day speaker.[3][120][121] He dated Loopt co-founder Nick Sivo for nine years. They broke up shortly after the company was acquired in 2012.[120]

According to his biographer Keach Hagey, in 2015, Altman met his future husband Oliver Mulherin "in Peter Thiel's hot tub at 3 a.m.". Mulherin was a computer science student at the University of Melbourne at the time and later became an engineer. He worked on AI projects in Australia before moving to the US to work for the dementia detection startup SPARK Neuro.[122] Altman married Mulherin in January 2024,[123] at their estate in Hawaii;[124] the pair also live in San Francisco's Russian Hill neighborhood and often spend weekends in Napa, California.[121][125] They committed to giving away most of their wealth by signing the Giving Pledge in May 2024.[126] The couple has a son, born in 2025.[127]

Altman is an apocalypse preparer.[120][128] He said in 2016: "I have guns, gold, potassium iodide, antibiotics, batteries, water, gas masks from the Israel Defense Forces, and a big patch of land in Big Sur I can fly to."[120]

In January 2025, Altman's sister Ann Altman filed a lawsuit alleging sexual abuse by Altman in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Missouri in St. Louis. The lawsuit alleges that the abuse started when Ann Altman was aged three and Sam Altman was 12.[129] Sam Altman, along with his mother Connie and younger brothers Max and Jack, issued a joint statement denying the allegations, describing them as "utterly untrue".[130][131][132]

"Search Assist

Sam Altman, the CEO of OpenAI, is Jewish. He has openly discussed his Jewish identity and its influence on his worldview."
