How over is it if I want to go into finance but I'm not at a target UNI

I got fucked by this years grade boundaries I would've got A*A*A any other year but instead I got A in maths A in Econ B in law . I cant even get into the course I wanted to (computer science) because there were no clearing spaces and gap year is a myth cause grades are still too bad. So now I'm stuck with a finance and fintech bsc at a non-target Russel group uni. How fucked am I ? Unironically considering ropemaxxing

Literally if it wasn't for covid adjusted grade boundaries I would've got A*A*A the only reason I didn't is the government said they're raising the grade boundaries to make sure less people get an A* to balance out the covid grades. The people who got into good unis in prior years were literally on the same level as me.

Take a gap year and resit for LSE/UCL or Warwick, anything below that isn't worth it tbh.
