How real is “Exposure Therapy”

I think there can definitely be value in exposure therapy, but does this only work if the results turn out better than expected. I have a hard time believing that if you approached 200 girls and got rejected 200 times that you would somehow be less sensitive to rejection that before you started, as your belief will become reinforced no?

I could see the angle though of after so many times the rejection becomes predictable so it stings less.

Whats been yall’s personal experience with this/ the science behind it.

dont approach unless ur hmtn minimum and start with ltbs then once ur confident move to mtbs and keep going etc

Do you think after a certain amount of rejections you become more “immune” to the
inhibitions, or only if you have positive reenforcement.

case dependent and mindset. if Ur fully soft maxed 100% and u are getting rejected you just have to accept its out of Ur control and either get surgery or accept ur treatment. if ur not fully softmaxed take it with a grain of salt
