my midface is like 92 due to eye spacing. i used to have an extremely long philtrum but its around 15mm after surgery but i still have horse midface. in reality to get 1:1 i would have to attach my upper lip to my nose, i mean no philtrum at all.
when i compare pictures of myself now to someone like chico his philtrum is literally longer than mine and my face doesnt look too long or anything, yet my midface is so much longer.
i could in theory get a lip lift again to shorten philtrum to ≈13mm but i doubt its worth it.
should i just accept it as it is

it should be used in synergy with One Eye Apart Test, which is ICD (intercanthal distance) divided by PFL (eye length), because otherwise it could not account for faces with overly long philtrums
very accurate nonetheless
mark as solution by clicking the checkmark on the right

What if your intercanthal distance is less 0.89: 1 eye but your midface is around 0.98 - 1

then you seem fine
ESR?
maybe a short midface and close set eyes, but im not sure
My esr is terrible at like 0.42. I measure my ipd and it seemed normal at like 64 mm but maybe I measured wrong.

Heres a few photos:

Also my midface doesnt seem short?

i got 4cm at where you got 4.2
A 0.92 is unbelievable man thats like Ryan Gosling tier I did it again and i went as accurate as possible (245.3px IPD/250.8px PP) = 0.978

Maybe there is something making my face seem long to you?

The vertical line should touch the lip + I have no idea, this mfr cannot be over 0.95

Howd you get this? View attachment 4589577, his esr is trash though 0.42
Also u think losing more weight can improve the esr (cause my ipd is normal my skull is just a bit wide)

I'm like 18% - 19% and I can pinch a substantial amount of fat there and I was even worse off when I was like 25 - 30%.

maybe im coping :feelswhy:

the vertical line is touching the cupids bow of the upper lip

there's probably something throwing it off a lot

sorry for such a late reply but what was ur philtrum pre surgery?

20mm
15-16mm now
holy shit man 5mm is a big amount

im at 17.5mm rn and its ruining my face (as well as a recessed chin)

the problem is my upperlip is a good size (not to big not to small)

is it possible to get a custom lip lift to not make the upper lip bigger at all?

something like a custom bullhorn lip lift

i think you'd have to combine it with lip reduction to keep the upper lip fullness the same
honestly from a 5mm reduction my upper lip still looks thin, but that's because it was non existent in the first place, i think with originally fuller lips you'd have to consider that, though the actual change in upper lip size was very subtle on me. also look at your mouth corners, if they're downturned the lip lift would make it more prominent by giving your mouth a more triangular shape since it only shortens from under the base of the nose, if your nose is slim that would indicate you need corner lip lift as well
i wouldn't even get it at 17.5mm, maybe your chin is short
whos in ur pfp?
very morphed chace crawford

my chin is 32mm so relatively short

It looks very long I would aim for a 2.5-3.5mm reduction

One side of my lips is neutral the other is upturned any idea how a lip lift would effect this?
