This is the second of two children she had the audacity to shit out with this condition, the other is dead. Being a crippled burn victim who is going to die horribly at the ripe old age of 18 is something SHE has to deal with. SHE clings to Jesus because that's the only way SHE can see her son after he carks it, SHE doesn't want to lose her most prized possession. She is more hysterical about it than he is because of the way it affects HER "as a mom"
