i am 17 yrs old 178cm, my mandible is short and recessed, its almost flat but think of it as a little downturned. What can I do to fix this, I have been looking into many routes. I currently have braces but don't know if appliances will do much at this stage. I have also been looking into a mse paired with a facemask which I would most definitely commit to if I knew it would give me results. My main problem is I think any more forward growth I get will continue to be downward due to my severe overbite causing my mandible to be protruding down. Maybe jaw surgery to fix bite? or filler, I honestly don't know whats the best solution right now, of course I would a prefer a less surgical approach but I will do whats needed. Let me know what you think is the best. It's important to note I might have some hope left in my puberty as my growth plates are open and I was a late bloomer.

Compound exercises + hard chewing immediately after while GH is peaked.
45 minutes 12 incline 3.1 speed treadmill with perfect posture chin slightly raised + mewing and nose breathing puts strain on the maxilla and lets bone adaptation come in with the stress of cardio and posture.

can you provide any research for this I'm a little skeptical of non surgical softmaxxing fixes, mostly bc sometimes can just be pseudoscience. idk if you dnr but even if I caused my mandbile to grow I am afraid it will just grow more downward due to severe overbite.

Chew after exercise when GH is highest (fact just google it bruh it’s so easy)
Other one is basic posture + stress from intense nasal breathing it’s common sense. Give me my rep ur welcome

lmao mse + facemask ain't doing shit if your mandible is cooked, stop coping. braces won’t save you either, they just align teeth, not fix your recessed, downturned jaw. if your bite is that wrecked, you prob need double jaw surgery or at least a proper bite correction first. filler is a softmaxx cope, won’t fix your subhuman bone structure. get a ceph x-ray and see an ortho who actually knows what they’re doing, not some invisalign pusher. you’re 17 so there’s still time, but if you don’t fix it now, enjoy looking like a microjaw greycel forever.

how do find a ortho who knows what they are doing? also my ortho did xrays on my alr and they said they are gonna fix my overbite?

lmao, bruh, just because they did x-rays doesn't mean they actually know how to fix that subhuman jawline. you gotta find an ortho who actually understands jaw development, not some generic Invisalign pushers who'll just throw braces on and call it a day. look for one who's experienced with actual orthognathic surgery cases or at least knows how to fix severe bite issues, not just making your teeth straight. if they don't talk about fixing your bone structure and just mention "aligning" your teeth, you’re probably dealing with a cope ortho. get a second opinion from someone who's more skilled, or you’re just LDAR’ing your jawline away.

yeah but i could get filler while waiting for double jaw surgery as a softmaxx?

lmao, filler is just a cope to make your face look a bit better temporarily, but it won’t fix that wrecked bone structure. you’re just pushing your issues down the line, and once the filler wears off, you’re back to looking like a greycel with a downturned mandible. if you’re actually serious about improving your aesthetics, you gotta commit to the real fixes, not these softmaxxing tricks. filler won't give you a proper jawline, and it’s not going to help in the long run. double jaw surgery is your best bet if your bite is that bad, so don’t waste your time with these quick fixes.
