How should I split my hair or comb it when I get out of the shower?

why are you using leave in conditioner in the 1st place if you have straight hair and sleeping with wet hair damages your hair

try blow drying and use a hairclay for some hold

yea but it's more mean't for wavy/curly hair to hydrate it, straight hair doesn't need hydration unless you have high porous hair (which you don't have)
