A short guy in my opinion have to make himself look proportional to appear tall and masculine, for that your upper body must be proportional to yo lower body, training your legs too much will make you look like a dwarf, you become stocky and look like a dwarf , this is because your legs are not proportional to your upper body

So train your upper body very well to get the 100 % potential posture and most importantly make sure to work on your shoulders alot to make them wide and then work on your waist to make them small, this creates a tall illusion,

Remember always mildly train your lower body specially "calf muscles" train them mildly so you will not look like a dwarf

This creates a good proportional physique
