Yes they are connected of course. But forward head posture doesn’t make your head lower by a tall distance. If you move your neck forward 2 inches, you’d lose like 0.5 cm of height.

No I lost far more because I have a long neck and I didnt have it completly straight. Maybe if you have a short neck you lose that little but mine is above average in length so I lost far more.
