If his hair loss is from MAA then nothing will help, except a 5AR inhibitor and/or a topical anti-androgen.
Obviously not ideal for OP to use a 5ARi when he's 15yo. Just needs a topical anti-androgen, anything else is a waste of money.

Regardless, it's not as easy to dose, absorption will vary, solvents can be harsh on your stomach (because it's a topical solution not meant to be ingested ) and whatever else I've accidentally omitted.
