How tf do i get a palate expander?

I'm narrow as fuck with a fucked up 6 tooth smile luckily my midface probably isn't fused yet cuz im 15 but i have no idea how to acquire a palate expander. Apparently u cant even get them at the dentist and u have to go to an orthodonist I'm 15 how tf do I go to an orthodonist I can't jst tell my mom that I want a palate expander cuz my narrow palate looks like shit ideally i'd wanna make up some problem that i'd also tell the orthodonist.
