if he says you dont need them you most likely dont, they are mostly cope and wont give you significant aesthetic changes and could even descend you, but if you are stubborn to get them you just need to keep searching for one that will do it, no other way around it

it might do something when you are very young and is definitely better than regular braces, but at your age it will do 0 i can assure you, maybe you will get slightly more fwhr but your zygos wont be more prominent and so on. only mse could yield significant changes such as wider ipd if combined with facemask so it will be your best choice if you really want to

yes that is the reason it is cope, get mse + fm if you want facial changes but it is not guaranteed anyway and has a chance of descending you
