Does anyone else remember what Russell Brand's entire political identity used to be?
This guy was basically the celebrity face of anti-establishment leftism in Britain.
2013 Russell Brand:
His whole brand was:
FUCK CAPITALISM
FUCK POLITICIANS
FUCK CORPORATE POWER
FUCK THE ESTABLISHMENT
Fast-forward about a decade.
Russell Brand:
And look at where he ended up by 2025.
RFK Jr — Trump's actual HHS Secretary — is posting pictures hanging around with Russell Brand and Dr Oz.
Brand himself was broadcasting from a Turning Point summit alongside the wider Trump-aligned media ecosystem.
Obviously Brand isn't literally a member of Trump's cabinet.
But spiritually?
LMFAO.
Imagine showing somebody in 2013 a picture of Russell Brand hanging around Trump's HHS Secretary after publicly endorsing Trump.
They'd assume it was AI generated.
And this wasn't:
left-wing guy becomes slightly conservative with age
This was:
"THE ENTIRE POLITICAL SYSTEM EXISTS TO SERVE ECONOMIC ELITES AND PARTICIPATING IN IT IS COMPLICITY"
to
"VOTE DONALD TRUMP"
Absolutely generational ideological migration.
The funniest part is that Brand can still tell himself he's anti-establishment because MAGA itself markets itself as anti-establishment.
So the underlying psychological identity never even had to change.
He just swapped:
anti-establishment revolutionary left
for
anti-establishment populist right
and carried the exact same personality, rhetoric, conspiracy framework and audience relationship across with him.
Possibly one of the greatest political rebrands of the century.
2013 Russell Brand would have made a 45-minute YouTube video exposing 2026 Russell Brand.
IN SHORT..... WHAT A FUCKING SELLOUT

2013 Russell Brand:
He literally guest-edited the New Statesman "Revolution Issue" and went on Newsnight telling Jeremy Paxman that refusing to vote was an act of rejecting the political system.politicians are frauds
voting legitimises a corrupt system
capitalism enriches economic elites
we need a fucking revolution
His whole brand was:

FUCK POLITICIANS
FUCK CORPORATE POWER
FUCK THE ESTABLISHMENT
Fast-forward about a decade.
Russell Brand:
He explicitly argued in 2024 that people who cared about freedom should vote for Trump.endorses Donald Trump
goes to the Republican National Convention
interviews Eric Trump
starts appearing throughout MAGA media
becomes heavily involved with Rumble
turns into a born-again Christian political influencer
hangs around RFK Jr and Dr Oz
appears at Turning Point conservative events
