Im sure mine is stronger, " I've been training neck for over 2 years, basically 2 1/2, I did progress in thickness but its still ogress

he mogs me to oblivion when it comes to biceps but still.. is it because I've never been bulkin?

your answer

if u been training without caloric surplus than obviously thats why

bulk + train neck, then cut = profit
but my neck is strong
strong = thick
but its not

dont count
i just do the progress
if ur not in a caloric surplus i would not expect any size gains, just strength gains

if u have a 60kg twink who is weak in the gym but if u are 60kg and train u will be stronger but the exact same size physically. just more muscle definition, not size

surplus = size its simple

Prolly genetics. Wrestler usually come from sporty background. Dads usually got thick necks NFL player build.

is it common for young athletes in us to take steroids?
shitty college leagues not professionals ofc
might be commmon, might be not.I think it isn't that common but you might have a surprise when reality hits you

I did wrestling and have a thick neck. I always thought these neck excercises are shitty. In wrestling you do neck bridges, headstands to train your neck, plus doing wrestling also trains your neck directly, since your opponent is constantly trying to snap your head down or trying to offbalance you with a collar tie grip, and you have to resist. I remember having a sore neck all the time after practice. Just try wrestling, its super cheap in most places compared to other combat sports like bjj. 99.99% of grappling athetes have thick necks, and its not because they train with Iron Neck or some other ridiculously looking appliance/excercise.

wrestling is training his neck a lot already and I guess he is doing some neck exercises on the side too

Neck training plus good genetics

He mogs your genetics, more/better training, roids, a million things.

Perhaps he trains his neck?
Boxers train their neck. The thicker the neck the harder it is to ko them. So i think with wrestlers that logic also applies. The thicker neck is harder to choke.

There is no choking in wrestling.

Even in bjj, you can choke someone through their chin even, so a thicker neck certainly doesn´t help much. Your arteries are on the side of your neck anyways, not as if there was much more muscle protecting it.

In wrestling a thick neck is an advantage in that you won´t break your neck when you get suplexed onto it, lmao. Also in wrestling you lose if you get pinned to your shoulders, so bridging onto your neck can prevent that if you have a strong neck. Wrestlers can have a guy pinning and driving them onto the ground, and still keep their shoulders off the mat.

Yeah, 10 years of doing neck brigdes with resistance, headstands and people trying to snap your head forward in training will do that. Starting to train your neck at 18 or whatever and expecting a similar result is simply unrealistic.
