[Back in 2022, I fell down the redpill rabbit hole pretty hard.
It made me way too hyper aware of every little social interaction. Instead of just talking to people normally, I was constantly overthinking everything in a negative way and ended up getting anxious about interacting at all. Even my close friend noticed it on the rare occasions I actually talked to people.
Despite that, I still feel a bit nostalgic for that 2022 to early 2023 era. It gave people a lot of hope, especially guys who felt like they missed out during their teenage years, making them feel like they were working toward something meaningful.
Things shifted in 2023 when Dillon Latham name dropped this forum.
That was when I made my first account, which I eventually deleted, and got curious about the Blackpill and Looksmaxing space. Anyone from around back then remembers channels like Wheatwaffles, Nero Angelo, and It's Brutal. Watching them made me realize that how people receive what you say usually just comes down to your physicality rather than saying something a certain way.
On one hand, that definitely damaged my self image. On the other hand, it actually cured the constant overthinking because I stopped stressing over every little social cue.I will say the whole journey was not a total waste. Some of the practical things I learned back then, even from those leaked Andrew Tate courses, still help me out from time to time.
Curious to hear what you guys think about this and how many of you guys relate.
