How to accent Max?

I've been cursed with the abomination that is Multi Cultural British Accent found in london Im trying to change it to a home counties accent but its extrememly slow and ardous process

My major problems are a thick tongue tied tongue with little movement

Have any of you accent maxxed and how? Why did you do it? When did you do it? Was it hard?

I have, I went from a small country town to Los Angeles, so I slowly changed my accent to the standard american accent from the country (texas sounding) accent. It wasn't hard, I would just learn where my problem areas were, you can record yourself and surround yourself with the accent you want, these really help. People will point out random words, or ask where you're from. Keep correcting yourself each time one is brought up, it took me a few years but now people ask what part of Los Angeles I'm from.

Well before people acted like "aw i like the way you say that word, where are you from?" which i hated, it felt condescending. Now when I talk they just treat me normal which i prefer.
