How to act witg other peoples toddlers?

Brocels help me on this, some relatives came today on eid with their toddlers, fuck i went to greet them, and they were all expecting me to greet the kids as well, i did it awkwardly like an autist and just went away in awkwardness back to the balcony to eat . Im not autistic but i legit never had to interact with smaller kids like that in my life being an only child. How to act nt around toddlers and little children?
