I have a solid idea of all the bones that make up the face but i dont really know how to compare it to real faces with growth and such. This is mainly to do with my own face but I just want to have the general ability to do it.

Like how do I analyze bone structure such as knowing if a maxilla is recessed, do you have good forward growth, or figuring out whether a ramus is short or not
i mean do u want to actually analyze with ratios or just by eyeballing it?

if ur just eyeballing it its quite easy to see these types of things

Mainly ratios.
thats probably gonna take u a while to be able to accurately assess ratios and be able to calculate harmony.

but in general this is what recessed vs forward grown looks like

recession can vary or look different obviously but to identify a short ramus, generally when looking at the side, the gonial angle is higher and from the front u can see the jaw frontal angle is more acute i guess u can say

like this but u can see he has other flaws like the lower third proportion, lower third height, chin-philtrum obviously
