Since you’re here, it’s fair to assume you have numerous problems, mental illnesses and a list of things that make your life hell.

While these problems may or may not be true depending on the person, the average user only chooses to focus on his flaws & things out of his control, which, leads them to being sad and ,,miserable”.

It might upset a lot of people, but the truth is, you are miserable because you choose to be. You like being sad, it’s comfortable and easy. You don’t have a will to improve yourself because being sad is easier than actually doing something.

Like I said in the beginning, some people have actual uncontrollable problems that hinder with their lives, but that doesn’t mean you should give up everything.
It’s like killing yourself because you had a bad day. Yes, your day was shit, it’s okay to acknowledge that, but you shouldn’t let that day change your whole week.

I’m not saying you shouldn’t vent about your problems and whatnot, I’m saying you should: acknowledge your problems, talk to someone about them, and move on with life.

I know that getting out of bed and doing what needs to be done is truly hard, but if you’re able to do something you hate, then you’re almost guaranteed to succeed.

Hopefully you read this and found it slightly useful :Comfy:

The will to improve (amongst men) is sadly something that has been slowly dissolving over time.
Probably to do with the declining test levels. Every man must be on TRT.

i dont feel happy living, and honestly i dont really see the bad on just killing myself, in my opinion it will just be a huge sleeping time and i have nothing to fear, i just want my suffering to end and if killing myself means that will happen id love to do it, in fact the reason why i havenr kill myself before its bc the idea of suicide and knowing that at any moment i could js off myself and feel nothing was what kept me alive but atp i really dont want to even try living another day but instead js end it so i dont have to live in this unconformity anymore

thanks for asking

I understand how you feel, and frankly, don’t blame you for it. You won’t solve much with suicide unfortunately. I know you have no will to improve but what if you did improve?

Imagine you’re at the pool. The water is cold. You can physically jump in the water, yet you hesitate. It feels like there is a 0% chance to jump, even if you can.
You can make your life worth living, but you can’t commit to it.

It’s a weird comparison but it makes sense in my mind

its a ceasar quote. to be honest its not even that we chose the easy route but the fast route. humans for most part have little to no patience, many men would lie down their life for their children but wont even do a little bit of exercise to be able to protect them. We are still animals at the end of time trying to transcend our futility

Yeah it's true, we only have control over what we think, how we react, by changing the way we think about ourselves, and the world, over the course of time, we can change our life (be the change that you want to see). By changing how we react, then we become more ,,aware'' so that way you can change what you do.

The problem is that if you don't fix yourself, one day you will meet the right person, the person of your dreams, and because of personality traits that you never improved on, you're gonna ruin it with that person, genuinely, trust me
WHY? ---- Because you are what you attract ---- be the type of person that you want to meet

Honestly you made hella fair and logical statements/points after I read the whole post. Suicide is the easy way out 100/10 times, personally I’m pretty happy with my life and would never commit but some people who truly have nothing going for them or feel like they have no one turn to suicide as a last resort.

If yall need help, reach out yall do matter

Success is something subjective. For some, success means rotting all day without a care in the world, while for others it means changing a whole industry. You aren’t guaranteed success, but playing your cards right will raise your chances of reaching it

Majority of your frontal development relies on prenatal development (you cant control) genetics (you cant control) and childhood events/traumas you cant control most the time.

Just because you own the brain, doesnt mean you can control it as you want. In fact you are the brain itself. There is no "you".

Only Reason youre typing this is because you get stimulated by interacting with ppl online. You need dopamine. Are you really free?

Life teaches people to be miserable. Ultimately, our happiness and mental states are dependent on positive reinforcement from others, in both past and present, but especially past which means the damage is done. Some get that reinforcement, others don’t. Your logic of ‘muh just choose to be happy bro’ is a level of cope comparable to those who deny the existence of trauma entirely. Our past experiences define us.

But also, how can you even expect everyone to have that will to improve at all? The question should be asked sometimes as to whether or not effort is even worth it anymore. Perhaps you’re speaking to the general audience here but I personally wouldn’t tell a struggling 50 year old night shift worker to muh keep grinding, choose to be happy bro, that’s completely unreasonable and would almost certainly result in nothing anyway.

If sadness Didnt exist, neither would happiness. Also I kind of agree with the second paragraph. A 50 year old can definitely improve his life but there isn’t much he can do

I believe happiness and sadness exist and can be felt by everyone, but the baseline emotion of someone ‘depressed’ would be that of misery, their only ‘happiness’ being fleeting and forced, inevitably returning to that baseline misery built in through the countless moments of negative reinforcement throughout their life (= depression).

Acting as if that constant built up psychological damage can be willingly undone by just choosing to be happy is ridiculous. Like I said previously about trauma, you can’t just tell shell shocked troops to forget about what they’ve seen in the war, because their experiences have been ingrained in them, they carry them everywhere, much like someone with depression.
