it comes so naturally to me (talking about rl situations, of course) that my presence/aura/whatever you want to call it gets a bit overwhelming, to the point where even i start sensing i'm dominating the scene too much and that the group operates in the "master and his bitches" dynamics.

i'm never being an asshole to others so people don't react with hostility, but submission and sometimes even respect i dont quite deserve. also, this doesn't feel as good as some might think because you start feeling like people around you are failoing you and crashing your social value (in a way similar to what happens when 5 incels go clubbing)

Yeah, I actually was friends with a guy like that once— he was tall, around 6’2”, wide-framed and muscled so he immediately drew respect from everyone: no one dared to mess with him because they took one glance at him and knew “This isn’t someone I should mess with.” I guarantee you, he could cut you off in line and you wouldn’t do anything about it. That’s based on observing him and his body language. But if you actually knew him, you’d know he’s a really impressive kick-boxer. He was flexible too, without any effort he could kick your face as if he was just scratching his arm. Despite all this, he was not an asshole but if he wanted to be, he could be one. You can easily see how he was the dominant personality of the group. I met him through my neighbor/friend who I grew up with and they met each other in jail. So he’s not the kind of guy you can mess with. People either were scared of him or they respected him. It was always one of the two. Due to circumstances, he cut off contact with me as well but before that he did tell me that he never had any problems with me. See it as collateral damage; he just couldn’t get along with my brother for different reasons and I am going to stand up for my brother if he is too scared to but in a careful way because I don’t want to get my ass beaten either. I remember an incident where I intervened between my brother and him. He told me while my brother was away that it was good that I was present otherwise he would have kicked his ass. And trust me he can beat him and pretty much everyone else straight into a coma. A professional K-1 kick-boxer saw him and was impressed and he personally invited him to join his gym but of course as luck would have it, he happened to beat the shit out of someone which caused him to go to jail and that’s where he met my neighbor/friend. Also, yeah, zoomer humor is pretty much unfunny but it’s what makes the rounds here since most people here are younger than 20.

Ahhh, right— well, having those things also puts you in another league where you will come across as dominant as well. My friend circle has never been like that: usually we are all on the same level but in my case I did notice that sometimes if I wanted to talk that I couldn’t even finish what I wanted to say. Not because they didn’t like me but because I’m not dominant enough, I guess. Couple that with my lack of an ego and I just can adapt to any group.

I agree; when you are around physically superior dudes you will get humbled one way or the other. This guy I knew, he had the total package. He was facially above average, too. And some hooker said “Your friend has a big dick.” He even used to have illegal fire weapons as well. Basically he seemed undefeatable, for a lack of a better word hahaha. Very true about how a guy like that could take your sandwich and you wouldn’t be able to do anything about it. Heck, dudes like that can disrespect you in front of your gf and you still wouldn’t be able to do anything and she’d lose respect. But luckily that guy was nothing like that.
