I once gave a man 5 dollars who asked for it, yet was reluctant in giving someone else some sunflower seeds, because I wanted to seem tough. My mother once told me that I couldn't change who I am at my core. Now I understand what she meant. It's not just "Be yourself" or as simple as, "Be the best you can be" You need to sharpen your "core" to a pristine polish, and in order to do that you need strong morals. With strong morals you can take actions confidently. With confidence in your actions, you become low-inhib. Discuss.

the reason why high-inhib exist is that people are afraid of being lonely and rejected by others. they care so much about what others might think of them.
i have 0 care for that matter and i still have lots of friends, most of them i dont even like.

live life as if you are solo, you'd be low inhib too.

I’ve had this exact same thought. I agree that if you feel content with your values, you won’t care as much about cheap values like approval and rejection of others. Since simply acting in accordance to those values makes you happy.

The thing is I can’t be genuine without admitting to girls that the reason I’m talking to them isn’t because I’m actually interested in them but because I like them or find them attractive. There’s always a deception.
