it is very realistic, and recommended by literally everyone in the fitness industry
Very hard to lose 1% of BF a week, without losing some significant ammount of muscle

Calories are thermal energy
The body is not a closed system burning food but rather interacting with it with a lot of hormones impacted/impacting it

CICO = oofy doofy

If you are obese with 35% BF, yeah, it is possible to lose 1% BF a week on a short period of time, until you get to 20 BF maybe.
If you are normal, under 20% BF, it's not impossible to lose 1% BF a week, but you are gonna have to starve yourself and you are going to lose a ton of muscle, so what's the point?

Anyways, just the fact that you are asking this question shows you are a beginner when it comes to diet/fitness. You want to lose fat? Stay high protein an reduce slowly the carbs until you are losing around 1lbs every 1 or 2 weeks. This is safer and better.

You're welcome
