does anyone know how to cause a specific muscle to atrophy faster other than just activating it less? this would be extremely useful for reducing muscles that are a looksmin such as the buccinators and mouth muscles (according to @Jacob Hate you can widen your mouth by relaxing/reducing the mouth muscles)

this could theoretically be great for anti-ageing too if we could cause atrophy of the forehead muscles as well as muscles that cause smile lines and naso folds.

(other than botox)

Other than that using it less is the only one probs ,
yeah i don't know anything atm other than just not using it but i wouldn't be surprised if there are ways to locally cause atrophy or reduce hypertrophy considering how many methods exist to cause hypertrophy

Just go on a strictly liquid diet to cause buccinator muscles to weaken, but even stoll that would probably take over a year to see little to no change

Try to get cachexia or central nervous system damage :p

But for a more useful answer, some medications are known to cause muscle atrophy, usually due to direct effect on muscles. This includes glucocorticoids causing glucocorticoid myopathy or medications toxic to muscle such as doxorubicin. Alternavtively you could try to inject directly into the muscle myastatin.

But really man, just use botox…
