How to close diastema/tooth gap?

My dentist said I have to get my lip band removed because its too thick meanwhile another dentist told me its not a problem and the real cause is my wide palate and I can get conventional braces, but not invisalign.

so wtf do I do if 2 irl dentists tell me 2 different things, these fuckers only want my money anyway
if there is a diy solution like composite bonding at home or something pls lmk, I'm low inhib so I dont care as long as these dentists dont get paid
