How can I convince my derm to prescribe me Accutane? My acne is quite low and I have almost nothing most of the time, maximum like 5 pimples, although I do have somewhat rough texture. I just want a permanent fix for this through Accutane. Any tips for convincing derm to let me hop on Accutane?

As far as I know, the mere fact that acne causes psychosocial impairment is sufficient grounds for prescribing it. It is not even strictly necessary to have depression, for example. If you want to take Accutane, it is because you feel bad at some level. That is enough. A physician should address the patient’s demands. NIH screenshot below.

if you are complaining about having rough skin accutane will make it worse, if you truly just have a few pimples just stick to skincare accutane has a lot of side effects

everyone telling you to larp mental health is right, but they are missing a the big picture, you can just fuck up your skin few days before. just do some seed oil skincare. put it on for the night, don't drink water and eat fast food and wake up. enjoy the acne.
