You're an actual doctor right?

Leave of Absence?
But that'd have to get approved right?

3 months is like a whole lifetime to them. No chance.

Yeah I doubt they’ll approve it ngl

I could just quit and find a new job after but I like this one and dunno if I will find one as good again- I would be taking a big risk to quit and get bimax hoping it’ll be life changing for me when my occlusion issues are relatively minor

A genioplasty is way more realistic for me to actually get because i could just book 2 weeks holiday and get it done during that - but I understand it’s a half measure and won’t fix my smile or fully balance my midface

it would be the worst move of your life. you would need to undergo the hiring process again and spend 20k pounds for a 0.1 PSL improvement

Vertica genio to mask sfs? Yeah no

20k would just be the cost of the surgery- id also need accomodation + living costs in rome for a month (2k probably) and forfeit 3 months income (another 10k).

I could just get a genio for like 7k tho…..

And I’d be back at work 2 weeks later

Why are you so against the idea?

Obviously bimax is the optimal solution but genio still better than nothing and will address the facial thirds etc

@ToTheTop got a good result from it imo

definitely not worthy. you could just get some fillers like amnesia and get higher psl improvement. veeners for better smile. genio and bimax are kinda meme unless you're deformed

yea not optimal, i don’t know how old you are and shit but it only half masks it. From the side and when you open your mouth it will still be kinda evident that you have sfs

my maxillary downgraft is gonna be like 1.5mm yes it’s a deformity but it’s such an extreme surgery worth it for a tiny movement ? When genio can address a lot of it anyway

he's not deformed tier. the PSL improvement would be too little compared to the cost. even genio would be pretty much useless for him. ig stars get fillers and veneers and be done with it.

nigga you dont need to take 3 months off

my cousin was back at work after 1.5 weeks (only bsso) though

yes for double jaw surgery. but 6 weeks should be ok if you have an office job. if you do a hard working manual job might be different

so BSSO recovery is a lot less bad than DJS?

interesting cos ramieris reccomendation for me was BSSO and vertical genio only - no LF1

but his exact words were 'and if you want we can do something with this *points at the maxilla* but I dont think its gonna be needed'

jfl at being an old man (which you are if you have a job) and having to ask a bunch of subhumans whether you can do something or not, just go get your bimax don't even talk to those subhumans ever again.

ik it sucks it's wageslavery but that's what gave us the money for surgery to begin with.

if u were an employer an employee that takes a 3 month layaway for a cosmetic surgery for an entire economic quarter might turn you to a cheap ass
the market conditions will be different in 3 months. what if business picks up?

Good fucking luck with that

It's not that hard, learn a skill like plumbing or electrician and go around doing that, get passive income, go ER.

Tell your employer that you need time off for transitioning surgery.

You work in soy-infested IT, they‘ll all congratulate and support you until they find out you transitioned into a chad instead of a troon

who told you you need 3 months?

After a bit of googling it seems BSSO recovery is a lot less bad than LF1- perhaps its realistic to be back at work in 2 weeks with BSSO?

thought it was the other way around

thought it was the other way around
At 1 to 2 weeks postoperatively, 50% of the BSSO group had returned to work or school while none of the LFI group had returned. By 3 to 4 weeks, 81% of the BSSO group had returned to work or school while nearly one half of the LFI group still had not returned.

Is it minimal in your case? My surgeon told me it would be atleast 5mm

I would say that you should not tell them you need time off for surgery. You can alternatively talk about a family member being very sick and you would like to spend a few months taking care of them before they die. In the USA you get family and leave act, not sure what it is called their. But their might be some similar rules. You can then get the full 3 months.

No point doing a surgery that isn't optimal to your scenario cause if its not what you want you have to then request leave again. And then they would start to bitch about fake " performance issues " when your back cause they think your gonna be gone again and then you get fired. So just take a longer leave for the one time. They won't bitch at you.

They won't really understand the procedure and if you tell them about ti they might think its not needed as its " cosmetic " only , so the family emergency thing is a better idea in my opinion. You also avoid telling them what your really doing and can get a much longer leave of absence, at least 3 months before they have to re-instate you in the job legally speaking.

Depends on the company you work for.
I know some would if you got hurt on the job.

Others would also if you HAD to have surgery (think back or knee) however, it would require the proper paper work via your doctor act.

This is cosmetic so prob nothing. Your best bet would be to just quit and get on unemployment. Find a new job or reapply down the road. Besides -- you legit trying to come back a mere 3 months after a surgery like this. It would be so obvious you had work done and clearly so swollen with discomfort.
