How to cope with insults?

So lets say someone says some specific insult and disrespect me for looks and I feel extremly bad because I am already insecure af, usually its just few words. What do I do? I don't know how to cope, because if I give it back 1 hour or 1 day later and insult for their flaws they will continue. Advice?
