"A plan is not a strategy." I recently heard this phrase, and it resonated with me. We all have goals, and for many of us here, that's improving our appearance. Yet, we often fall into the cope of "planning our ascension" without developing a concrete strategy to make that plan a reality. After seeing a thread asking for advice on something similar, I thought making a guide about it could be very helpful to some.
The easiest way to get anything in motion, is to first create a plan and then build a strategy around it. That's what I'm here to help you do today.
Keep in mind, this is a framework designed from what I believe will help most. Not everyone needs this exact approach to ascend, and there might be other effective methods, maybe you don't even need to do this and can ascend without. However, for those who spend hours scrolling, memeing, and making threads on "Who mogs?" without taking real steps, this is useful, stop being a fucking useless bum, you're coping by logging into this site every day not to learn something about improving your looks or helping others do it, we all know that at this rate you're going to reach 30 and stay a LTN, because wanting to look better and doing something to look better IS NOT THE SAME, one is want, the other is an action.
The concept is straightforward, you start by working on the foundational elements at the bottom of the pyramid and progressively move your way up.
Alternatively, you could start by planning. Sketch the bridge, choose materials, define dimensions, set a budget, and create a timeline. This approach eliminates guesswork, making the actual construction much smoother.
For your looksmaxxing journey, this means objectively identifying your flaws. You have a few options:
Next, create a rough outline and timeline. Don't overthink this part. You'll know what to focus on and when. There's no need to decide on a specific haircut if you're not even addressing basic sleep or nutrition. Planning too far ahead can become a form of procrastination, WHICH WE DON'T WANT. Focus on creating a general roadmap, you'll fill in the details when you reach each specific layer.
An objective without a deadline is often meaningless. I recommend dedicating three months to each of the first four layers. This means that from the moment you start your looksmaxxing journey, your initial three months should be fully dedicated to Nutrition, Fitness, Sleep, Mental Health, and Oral Habits. Three months is an ideal timeframe to see noticeable progress and solidify these foundational habits before moving on to more complex areas.
I recommend using Google Calendar, Timestripe (love it!) or any other such app that allows you to set goals far ahead. Again, we're going for action here, I want you to lay out a period of planning and a period of acting, a specific date in your calendar, this is mandatory. Take improving your looks, like managing a company, take it seriously and be a strategic planned with lazer focus.
When you're ready to advance to a new layer, take a day or a week to research and plan in detail. How will you address these areas? What realistic systems can you implement? What will it cost? Create a budget for each new layer.
This is where your deep planning begins. What will you eat? How much? What's your training regimen? How will you optimize your sleep? Don't get caught in the trap of endless "optimization research", that's just another form of procrastination. Focus on the highest return-on-investment actions. If you lack the financial means, get a job or ask mommy and daddy for money.
These aren't quick fixes, but the principles still apply: identify what needs to be done and by whom, budget the cost, plan how to acquire the funds, estimate the timeline, and then work towards your goal.

Why Strategize Your Looksmaxxing Journey?
I know some of you are already sprinting to comment "I ascended without all that" or "XYZ didn't plan anything, cope." But first, shut the fuck up and jump off a bridge, and second, let's be real: many people in this forum live in a fantasy land. They have all the knowledge, but never actually apply it. How many guys have been on these forums for over 5 years without making any significant improvements to their attractiveness? It's not a lack of knowledge, it's a lack of action, and I get it, action is fucking hard. The easiest way to get anything in motion, is to first create a plan and then build a strategy around it. That's what I'm here to help you do today.

The Looksmaxxing Pyramid
The core idea is simple and revolves around this image:
The concept is straightforward, you start by working on the foundational elements at the bottom of the pyramid and progressively move your way up.
Step 1: DIAGNOSTICS & PLANNING.
Think of building a bridge. You could just show up with tools and start laying materials, but that's inefficient. How long should it be? How much material do you need? What's the budget? You'd encounter problems constantly.Alternatively, you could start by planning. Sketch the bridge, choose materials, define dimensions, set a budget, and create a timeline. This approach eliminates guesswork, making the actual construction much smoother.
For your looksmaxxing journey, this means objectively identifying your flaws. You have a few options:
- Professional Assessment: Hire a looksmaxxing YouTuber, consult a plastic surgeon, esthetician, or other appearance professional for a detailed evaluation.
- Get flamed by .org: Post your photos in forums or Discord serves like this and ask for brutal, honest critiques. Pay attention to consistently mentioned flaws. Don't be shy about creating more threads for further questions.
- DIY Assessment: There's so much of information on facial aesthetics available, specially on YouTube or threads in this site. You can learn to objectively rate yourself, measure your face, and assess your flaws independently.
Step 2: Categorize Your Flaws & Create a Rough Outline
Once you've identified your flaws, it's time to classify them under the corresponding layers of the pyramid. For example, if you have acne, it falls under the "Skincare" (Layer Two) category.Next, create a rough outline and timeline.

The Layers of the Pyramid:
Here's a breakdown of each layer:Layer One: Nutrition, Fitness, Sleep, Mental Health, and Oral Habits. (3 Months)
This is the foundation. While these won't instantly make you a Chad, they enable you to become one. "Oh but XYZ doesn't worry about any of this, and he's a Chad", first, fuck off and jump off a bridge, and second, yeah but XYZ is genetically gifted, you and I are MTNs or, God forbid, LTNs, we have to put twice as much effort into this as they do to look half as good, sad reality, but that's how shit works.
Layer Two: Skincare, Hormonal Balance, Dental Health, and Orthotropics (3 Months)
Now you're building on your foundation. Aim for clear skin (consult a dermatologist if needed), optimize your natural hormones (or roidmaxx), ensure your teeth are straight and healthy, and explore orthotropic solutions like MSE or expanders, only if needed.Layer Three: Posture, Hairstyle, Grooming, Fashion, Smell (3 Months)
This is the "normie looksmaxxing" territory. With the first two layers addressed, these changes will have a much better impact.Layer Four: Vocal & Sociability (3 Months)
If you've worked through the first nine months, you've likely made significant improvements to your appearance. Now, it's time to stop making excuses and focus on developing your communication and social skills. You're no longer hideous, so there's less of a chance that a woman or other people will see you as creepy and ignore you.Layer Five & Six: Non-Surgical and Surgical Solutions. (Undetermined)
This is where the fixed timeline can become more flexible, as these solutions depend heavily on your individual needs and resources. You might need anything from fillers to implants or facial reconstructive surgeries. This can get expensive quickly and will require consultations with surgical professionals. These aren't quick fixes, but the principles still apply: identify what needs to be done and by whom, budget the cost, plan how to acquire the funds, estimate the timeline, and then work towards your goal.
Important Considerations:
If you encounter an obstacle, like needing to reach a certain age or money, it's okay to adjust your timeline. However, if your challenge is financial, make addressing that a top priority immediately. I really hope people can find worth in this guide, if you take anything from it, make it that planning and strategy are the most important thing when it comes to making a significant change in anything. If you don't have a plan, you've been scrolling the slums of .org for years and haven't made any changes to how you look, let this be your wake-up call.I KNOW WE WILL ALL BECOME CHADS
