I'm the type of person who, despite knowing what they have to do, often won't end up doing it unless I have a detailed plan and schedule. Just knowing I have to complete a project isn't useful for me, I need to tell myself: "I will work on XYZ from the project, on Monday at 5:00 PM, by doing things in ABC way." The moment I started to do this, treating my life like I'm the CEO of a company managing my empire, was the moment I started making so much progress.

Fuck I'm a little psychotic with it, I have paragraphs and paragraphs in Notion because I also manage all the people I interact with, I've made systems for my fucking social life, I have very detailed descriptions about the people I talk with and often review them when I know I'm going to see them for something important, so I remember exactly how to approach our interactions, when was the last time we spoke, if I need to do something for them, and all those little things. And that kind of paid off too in its own way.
