How to deal with a bully that is bothering my cousin brother?

There's this cunt who keeps harassing by cousin brother, picking on him verbally, even physically in some instances maybe some other stuff too that he isn't telling me. It's some 16 year old kid who bullies people regularly at his school . Back when I was in school I dealt with my bullies by beating them up and told him he should find him alone and jump on him but his school is very strict about all this and he doesn't want to get suspended so he's scared of reacting and pushing back. I'd get involved. I'm like double his size and can easily fuck him up but I'm not a kid no more I'm an adult. I don't want to catch an assault charge. I was thinking of catching his collar and scaring him. What should I do? Should I let my cousin fight his battles?
